These Robinson and Payne Orange Bitters are thought to originate from the 1890s or 1900s, although no definitive record of their production, ingredients or method of manufacture can be found, consequently no warranty as to the potability of these bitters can be made.
The Antique Bitters Company was founded with one purpose - to bring old and rare bitters hitherto unavailable to bartenders, cocktail aficionados and discerning customers the world over.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Old fashioned thick-cut marmalade, heavily concentrated orange juice, a hint of grapefruit.
Palate
Orange squash garnished with candied orange peel.
Finish
Bitter orange peel and undiluted orange cordial.
Overall
A real concentrated bitterness with beautiful marmalade aromas.
