These Orange Bitters are thought to originate from the 1970s, although no definitive record of their production, ingredients or method of manufacture can be found, consequently no warranty as to the potability of these bitters can be made. However, they remain an excellent addition to any Bourbon based cocktail.
The Antique Bitters Company was founded with one purpose - to bring old and rare bitters hitherto unavailable to bartenders, cocktail aficionados and discerning customers the world over.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Old fashioned sweet shop aromas, barley sweets and satsuma juice.
Palate
Bitter barley sweets and tangerine zest.
Finish
Bitter-sweet marmalade and a touch of sherbet.
Overall
The barley sweet aroma is very assertive yet fresh orange flavours swim easily underneath.
