
From California's Bruery comes another release from the Arbre series, which explores the impact that the level of toasting a barrel has received can have its dark wheatwine-style ale. This particular edition was allowed a rest in casks that were only given a light toasting, meaning not quite so much charred, oaky influence has made its way into the beer, letting the chocolatey notes of the beer itself stand to the fore.
Caramel and dark chocolate, with a smidge of smoke underneath. Rounded vanilla, redcurrant, and nutty malt.
