A particularly excellent Stout here from Magic Rock Brewing in Huddersfield, made with a combination of four malts and plenty of hops - meaning the classic coffee and chocolate notes shine, with surprising (and delicious) bursts of herbaceous bitterness.
Smoky wood, dark chocolate, damson, raisin, Christmas cake, herbal hops and a bit of extra thick double cream. Bitter hops last on the finish.
