A delightful 1976 vintage Bas Armagnac from Baron de Sigognac, whose legendary owners, the Guasch family, have been in Gascony since the 12th century. Viticulture, vinification and distillation are handled in the present day by the father-and-son team of Jean-Claude and Thomas, and they created this vintage with the same local grapes grown within the Bas Armagnac region that they use for all their vintages.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose An elegant nose of overripe grapes and floral aromas.
Palate Complex and smooth. The buttery texture is paired with vanilla flavours and stewed fruits.
Finish Appropriately medium length. Butterscotch lingers over prunes and figs and touches of violet. A dignified affair full of flavour and aroma.
