A popular Swedish aquavit, first produced all the way back in 1931. Traditionally spiced with caraway and fennel, as well as anise, it's something of a classic, some might say. It's named after the province of Skåne in Sweden, well known for their vodka and aquavit production.
This is a great Akavit. It has a really good flavour and is reminiscent of Brenninvín. which is what I was hoping for, since I can't find this excellent Icelandic spirit in the UK. I've tried a variety of aquavits looking for something that is the same or similar to Brennivín and this is pretty close.
So smooth and subtly sweet, will definitely be buying again!
