Trenet Premium is a popular, sweet absinthe.
Candied anise with a little clove oil.
Good product at a decent price. Makes a good louche!
...and I really rather like it. I tend to struggle with drinks that taste strongly of anise like Ouzo and so on, but this has a gentler and more complex flavour. It makes for a nice long drink if you follow the standard method (I'll admit I had to Google it!). I'm not expert, and frankly I'm more of a port type of guy, but I'm finding this very enjoyable.
