Description
Mizunara is tricky stuff with its tight grain and wily temperament, but give it 18 years with the right coopers and it sings. Yamazaki’s latest is pure sandalwood, citrus peel, coconut, and old temples in a glass.

Nose
Dark cherry, ripe peach, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Palate
Spiced orange, apricot, and Japanese incense.
Finish
Long and lingering with clove, sandalwood, and dried coconut.
