Wolfburn Kylver Release 2 Bottling Note

The second release in Wolfburn's very limited Kylver Series, which was named after a burial stone discovered to have one of the earliest examples of the runic alphabet etched upon it. This edition features the rune meaning aurochs (which was a type of large cattle that is now extinct) on its label, and the whisky itself was drawn from a combination of bourbon barrels and a second-fill ex-Oloroso Sherry butt.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Bright notes of fresh fruit salad (with mango, melon, peach and pear). Ginger snaps, whispers of earthy peat and a touch of caramelised brown sugar.

Palate: Earthy notes once again, this time more pronounced though balanced by milk chocolate and buttery sultana. A touch of charred oak.

Finish: Pine resin, cinnamon, cumin, orange sweeties.
