The fourth expression in Wolfburn's Small Batch series, and the first expression from the Scotland's most northerly mainland whisky distillery to have been given a finishing period! Batch 155 was initially aged in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being moved over to fresh Port hogsheads, introducing a helping of juicy red fruit notes to the party.
Softly boozy red grape richness, followed by honeyed barley and flaked almonds.
Floral barley with a touch of vanilla blossom, shortly followed by strawberries and cream with a touch of brown sugar on top.
Subtly chocolatey, with a touch of cinnamon.

some grapes and sweetness on nose. mouthfeel is fairly creamy, and more honey.. slightly alcoholic without a very small drop of water when it opens nicely.. a medium short mild spiced finish. a little more cream too. overall a nice drink, but its prefferable with a drop of o2. thanks to wolfburn for the tester. i have now bought a bottle. struth
