W L Weller 2011 Bottling Note

From the 2011 release of Buffalo Trace's Antique Collection, William Larue Weller's high proof bourbon is a true monster, exploding with cinnamon, vanilla and massive spice. Truly a delicious whiskey.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Very intense and rich. Offering up freshly juiced fruits (particularly prune), black pepper, warm custard and foam bananas. Some espresso beans, butterscotch and manuka honey.

Palate: Perfumed and aromatic when it hits the tongue. There are herbal notes, hints of floral gums, warm custard again, hot buttered toast with honey, and strawberry and apricot jam.

Finish: Long with cereal sweetness, corn and toasty oak.

Superb

Incredibly good bourbon.
First thing that hits you is the astounding nose of perfume, it really is intensely aromatic, followed shortly by an incredibly rich sweetness and warmth.
The strength of this whiskey is amazing, enjoy with caution.
