Description
We've got our mitts on another single barrel bottling of excellent rye whiskey from WhistlePig! This one, bottled for Drinks by the Dram, is a 10 year old expression drawn from cask #96064, and weighing in at a robust 52.5% ABV. If your Manhattans need an upgrade, this is exactly the sort of thing you should be looking for.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cinder toffee, black pepper, rye bread, Nutella, a hint of floral herbs.
Palate
Clove, cardamom, caramel, more rye bread (now with a layer of marmalade), menthol.
Finish
Dry oak spiciness lingers.
