Single malt whiskey from Ireland matured in first fill bourbon barrels. It's supposedly non-chill filtered at 40% abv, so don't be surprised if it throws a cloudy haze in the bottle even at room temperature. (Don't worry though - that just means all the good stuff has been left in!)
Green apple, subtle stone fruit, nougat and vanilla.
Less fruity, plenty of malt and a solid core of rich caramel.
Long and warming with gentle spice and a hint of milk chocolate.
A great bottling of Irish single malt.

Tasting notes all seem to be more or less the same string of fancy words that usually mean nothing to the end user. I bought a bottle of the 10 year old West Cork single malt, just to try a different kind of Irish Whiskey, and boy was it different! It had a flavor all it's own, with so many different, all happening at the same time, with each sip. I would buy more, but the shipping is more than a bottle of this fantastic nectar. I hope it will soon be on the shelves, here in the U.S.
Beautifully smooth, with spicy notes that give an interesting finish. Neat, develops slower than expected and with a wee drop of water the delicate topnotes really come into their own.
