The Secret Series from Vintage Bottlers explores the whisky producing regions of Scotland via the medium of... Whisky from secret distilleries! This one here is a 29 year old single malt distilled in Speyside (but as mentioned, the actual distillery is a mystery), and bottled from sherry casks at 44.8% ABV. Who knows who made this? Whoever it was, it's a marvellous dram!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Caramelised nuts and honeyed malt, with chocolate chip cookies developing.
Palate
Cinnamon snap, raisin, toasted teacakes, ginger, and prune.
Finish
A long finish with caramel and oak galore.
