Uisce Beatha Whiskey Bottling Note

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Clean notes of vanilla, toffee, malt and white chocolate.

Palate: Fresh cream, malt toast, hints of char from the bourbon casks.

Finish: Medium length, with crumbly vanilla fudge from a fête.

Overall: Sweet and easy-going.

Relaxed and good on ice
A generally easy to sip whiskey is good if you're wanting to take it slow. I'm taking a night on the river to write and enjoy some time alone and this is a good whiskey for keeping the edge without passing it too far.

Ok if "sweet & young" does it for ya'
Price is is why I added a third star. Heavy vanilla bean and almond in nose and lighter of aforementioned on palette. Finish too short, too soft, and lacks the charred or peat fiery finish I personally desire from being a spoilt Scotch whiskey fanatic. For the money, I'd always head to the consistently nuanced and sophisticated finish of a 12yr Glenlivet. That's my two cents and tongue at play anyways. Sidenote: I must say that I do love the name Uisce Beatha (ish-kas ba-ha-ha), "water of life" in Gaelic. So true a description for a single malt 12yr+ scotch whiskey - sadly not so much for this softly blended not-yet-ripe Irish whisky.

Probably the best sipping whiskey I've tried so far. Mellow, easy going down, comforting. I love it

Nice but no dice
While this is a pleasant enough whisky, there is no depth to it and no lasting aroma or memory. Sweet, a good colour, and smooth but I'll not likely buy this again.

Not a fan
Lacking in depth of flavor compared to other new expressions of Irish whiskey available

Nice pour
Had it at my bro in laws, and although whiskey paid for by your bro in law always gets a review boost, we were impressed. Sippable, lovely legs, good nose and color. Nice addition to our list of Irish whiskey we will buy.
