A 15 year old Tyrconnell, this Irish single malt is produced at the Cooley distillery and matured in American oak.
Sweet grains and subtle bourbon – impeccably Irish. A little raspberry, vanilla.
Creamy, sweet spices (cinnamon and vanilla), strawberry milkshake
Slightly woody, big on sweet American oak…

I am new in the world of whiskeys and read that Irish whiskey is often good for newcomers as it is less challenging and robust than other whiskeys. This is certainly true of this 15 year old. It was both smooth and light, a real pleasure to drink. The flavours were subtle, i tasted a nice sweetness in the palate though which I can only describe as fresh. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, especially newbies like myself.
