Tullibardine 9yo TBWC Bottling Note

This is Batch 2 of Tullibardine single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! For this release, they've bottled at 9 year old single malt from the distillery in the Highland region. On the label, King James IV is talking to anyone that will listen about distillation and how the ale he bought for his coronation (at Scone) would be better if it was distilled. A novel idea, but a good one...

This is a release of 182 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Pear drops with a layer of icing sugar. Bananas, citrus peels, fresh cream and a herbaceous hint of thyme.

Palate: Milk chocolate, gooseberry, honeydew melon, and tutti-frutti sweeties. Rounded notes of toffee apple later on.

Finish: Mellow caramel, peach and a light touch of creamy malt lasts.

Tullibardine 9 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) Reviews

Light, but enchanting.

I certainly wouldn't have put this whisky at 9yo. Feels more like a 20-something to me.
