Torabhaig Distillers' Series Niall's First Edition 70cl Whisky

For one month each year, Isle of Skye's Torabhaig distillery gives its nine distillers free rein to create their own whisky. They decide on their own unique recipe, yeast and barley strains, length of fermentation, inclusion of peat, cut points, and cask type, then stay close to the whisky during its maturation.

This single malt is the creation of Niall Culbertson, who joined Torabhaig in 2017. The recipe includes 90% lightly peated malt, 5% brown malt, and 5% crystal malt, matured in a combo of first-fill bourbon and rum casks, and bottled at a hearty 59.3% ABV.
