Pronounced 'Tlah', Tlàth means gentle and/or mellow. With Tomintoul known as 'the gentle dram', this particular expression is along the same easy-going Speysider lines and is matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels.
Quintessentially Speyside. Light, with some sweet toffee and vanilla and hints of mint leaf and citrus peel.
Light and creamy. Lively white pepper and some oak-driven spiciness dance on the tongue with background layers of nutmeg and toasted vanilla.
Spicy with notes of shortbread and fresh mint.

Lovely warm sweet taste. Smooth with the hints of vanilla. Would recommend this as a good starter whisky. Easy to drink more than planned
This is a great entry level whisky, a good intro to Scotch if you will but may be disappointed to more seasoned drinkers of this extraordinary spirit. Not a very complex dram, nose is vanilla cake frosting or maybe vanilla ice cream with a caramel drizzle hint of honeycomb as well as a very slight soapy note that lets you know it is young. The palate is about the same with maybe a slight hint of raisin on the finish.Wouldn't really recommend adding water to this it's already a little thin considering it's bottled at 40%. An interesting alternative to the very fruit heavy palate of Glenlivet or Fiddich 12 years being just as smooth and a little cheaper as well.I'd probably take this over Tomintoul 10 year considering the price difference is pretty significant here in California. Good dram for the price very easy to drink. The Sugarbear
I bought this as a cheap extra bottle when I purchased a couple of more expensive bottles as I had a few different Tomintoul in the past and always been impressed but may favourite from them is just to expensive now. Did not expect much from it for the price but was pleasantly surprised. Light gentle taste vanilla, surprisingly for a 40% still needs couple of drops of water to get the best taste from it.
Excellent value for money. Lovely and light taste, very easy to drink. Definitely buy again
This is a really smooth, well-balanced and enjoyable malt whisky - and one of my partner's real favourites. It is really drinkable and pleasing.
