Bourbon
12 year old single malt from Tomintoul, drawn from a single bourbon barrel that was set down to slumber back in September 2007. Fast-forward 12 years, and the cask was cracked open in January 2020, and 235 bottles were produced at a burly 65.7% ABV. A drop of water or two ought to help bring out some of the creamy, vanilla-rich notes.
Cigar box and freshly sawn oak. Citrus, heather honey and vanilla.
Exudes maturity. Initially dry but then opens up with a balance of cream and oaky spice.
Lingering spice in perfect balance with creamy sweetness.
