Tomatin
The Italian Collection from Tomatin consists of three releases finished in Italian wine casks. This release was distilled in 2010 and aged for ten years in ex-bourbon casks followed by a finishing period in barrels that formerly held Barolo.
Barolo is a dry red wine made entirely from the nebbiolo grape in Piedmont, and is one of Italy's most prestigious wines.
Fragrantly aromatic with notes of marzipan and chocolate.
Red fruit like cherries and cranberries with baking spices and orange.
Sweet and subtly nutty.

Have to admit to being a fan of Tomatin range and thi one delivers again. Quite smooth considering the strength with a real burst of cherries.
