Tomatin 12yo Amontillado Bottling Note

This 12 Year Old Tomatin spent its first nine years maturing in oak casks before a leisurely three year finish in first-fill Amontillado sherry butts. It was bottled at 46% ABV without chillfiltering, with a limited 5,400 bottles released. An enjoyably toasty dram, this one.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Chocolate orange and sultana alongside lots of spicy oak and vanilla custard.

Palate Dusty cocoa, fresh espresso, dried apple, fresh pear and chocolate covered walnut, with a sweet honeycomb note.

Finish Barley sugar, orange oil, toasty oak and a peppery finish.

Gorgeous Sherry and Amontillado is a very evident. Bold flavours and so smooth. Superb dram highly recommended.

Fantastic wee dram from smashing distillery. Maybe best sherried dram under 15 years I've tried this year.
