This is our very own independent bottling of 21 year old Tobermory single malt Scotch whisky, aged in a refill bourbon hogshead which was filled in September 1994 and cracked open in July 2016. Really impressive stuff from the distillery on the Isle of Mull - creamy, chocolatey and just generally delicious!
Clotted cream, strawberry jelly sweets and sticky toffee pudding. Savoury hints of peanut butter and cornbread appear after a minute or two in the glass.
Sugared almonds, creamy porridge and a few spicy hints of cinnamon and cardamom. Lemon curd and cream crackers later on.
Chocolate-coated salted pretzels, Demerara sugar and a juicy touch of apricot.

This is an extremely, extremely well-matured whisky. You never quite know what you're going to get with Tobermory, granted, but this one could've very easily fooled me into thinking it was a 50yo Glenfiddich. Incredible, incredible whisky.
