Single Malt
Scotland
7 Sept 2005

Peated single malt from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull in September 2005, finished in casks that previously held Hermitage wine from France! Following that, this expression was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for their Provate Collection in August 2017. 4,100 bottles were produced.
A great juxtaposition between juicy blueberries and smoked meat.
Salted caramel, pecan pie, ham and a touch of tart gooseberry.
Long and smoky.

Great whisky, lots of old ham in the nose and a real punch of smoke and winter berries in the taste. Finish is long and melllows out with the hermitage making its presence known. Comes across as being an islay whisky.
