Ledaig 12 Year Old 2007 - Claxton's

This peaty treat is a 12 Year Old single malt from the Tobermory Distillery, released under the Ledaig name. The Island whisky was distilled in June 2007, and placed in a single hogshead to mature for over a decade. After 12 years, 249 bottles were drawn from the hogshead and bottled at a generous 55.8% ABV by Claxton's.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Porridge with dark chocolate shavings, barbecued banana, vanilla oak and wood smoke.

Palate

Salted popcorn, orange chocolate and maritime peat smoke, with white grape juiciness and fresh grass sweetness,

Finish

A lengthy, smoky finish with a touch more sea salt.
