This single cask Ledaig was distilled over at Tobermory back on 12 June 2007. It was left in a single sherry cask for the following 11 years, bottled on 17 May 2019, less than a month before its birthday. Rest & Be Thankful bottled the smoky whisky at cask strength, a healthy 58.5% ABV. Expect a brilliant balance of fruit, spice and smoke in this single malt.
Wet leaves and grape skin, with smoky bacon, bonfire embers and fruit and nut chocolate.
Earthy peat smoke, with tart berry jam, damp oak and caramelised nuts.
More peat and oak char, with plum jam on burnt toast.
