The Macallan Sienna

The third darkest and third most expensive bottling in the no age statement, sherry matured 1824 Series from The Macallan. Sienna is a naturally occurring pigment, referring not only to the hue of this expression but to the fact that The Macallan's whiskies are all released with no added colouring.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Noticeably bigger than Gold and Amber, orange peel, vanilla sugar and hot cross buns.

Palate Raisins and dried apricots, ripe greengages, frozen currants.

Finish Fruity and slightly spiced with a touch of anise.

Overall This is where the 1824 Series becomes more intense.

A wonderful scotch

An all-time favourite. Leagues above Gold and Amber.
If you're considering getting the Gold or Amber of the collection (which are fine), just stop right there and spend the extra few dollars on Sienna. The added complexity and deepness of this whisky is worth every penny. Maybe the best dollar-for-dollar Scotch I've ever had, a better price to quality than Ruby (in my opinion).

Great tast
Wow!! have had many various whiskeys, medium to top of the line (for a middle class person)

Just really the best for my income.

My Doctor told me to try the BRAND, never going to leave. Glenfiddich 12 gone from my life

One of the most underrated whiskies
This is a dangerously drinkable whisky, vanilla, toffee apple, mandarin, gingerbread biscuits, sherry, oak, warming like a glengoyne 21, no sulphur,
I’m not a macallan fan but I love this whisky. I grabbed 8 bottles to drink later on when they were £65, a steal at that price, don’t be put off by nas snobs and grab a bottle before it’s too late, I’ve had all the editions so far (1,2,3,4) and I prefer this, also prefer this to the rare cask.
My favourites would be the rare cask black, ruby and 18 sherry, they are amazing, stay away from the fine oak series, glengoyne 15 will do it better for cheaper and glenfarclas 17 better than this? Lol maybe if you like old library and pencil shaving flavours but I prefer a quality taste, only letdown to this whisky is the finish could be longer but 5 stars at this price point.

Daylight Robbery
On Amazon this is £168 including p&p...this is probably a 15-18 year old whisky...extortionate price!!!!Will never visit the distillery due to over-rated whiskies they sell. The Macallan...everything that is wrong with a snobby whisky brand!!!!!😤

Average
Not bad this one but overpriced.Quite nice toffee flavours and rather smooth, but for nearly £80 you can get a Glenfarclas 17,which is miles better!

Lovely!
Oh my, this was just a very pleasant experience. So easy to drink, no chaser necessary. Very sweet aroma assails the nose as it is opened and poured. Has a sweet vanilla/floral taste to it. Highly recommended.
