The Macallan 18yo Sherry Bottling Note

Say hello to the 2020 Release of the wonderful 18 Year Old Sherry Oak from Macallan! As you may know, like all of the distillery's Sherry Oak releases, it's matured in hand-picked sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, so there's all that well-loved sherried Speyside spice and dried fruit that we expect from Macallan.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose: Dried fruits and ginger with hints of vanilla and cinnamon.

Palate: Soft and rich, with hints of spice, clove, orange and toasted mature oak.

Finish: Lingering with dried fruits, ginger and orange zest.

Best I’ve tasted

I’m a new whisky drinker, but I’ve been learning fast. I’m now over 12 bottles deep and I’ve sampled a lot of 12-18 year old whisky (one Laphroig 10). This is the smoothest most delicious whisky I’ve tasted so far. Drink it in the office, at home, playing scrabble, playing golf. Worth paying for and actually drinking, not keeping on the shelf. Buy it and drink it
