Joining The Macallan's superb Sherry Oak range is the 2022 release of its immense 18 year old single malt! Following annual tradition, this expression has been matured in a series of hand-picked sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, and boasts all that deliciously fruity, spiced character that makes The Macallan's whiskies so special.

Lovely drink: ridiculous price. I'm old enough to remember having this as a once-a-term treat as a student, at less than £20 a bottle. Inflation has been about 4 or 5 times since - and it was AT LEAST as good a drink then. The smoothness and intensity of the Sherry oak isn't quite what it was before Macallan started messing around with Sherry Oak, Double Oak and the inappropriately named "Fine" Oak.
