We're onto the third release from The Lakes Distillery's Whiskymaker's Reserve series, which explores the art of blending and oak maturation! This English single malt was drawn from Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and cream sherry casks, along with a small number of red wine casks in there too. As such, it's a super aromatic, incense-forward release, bottled up at a healthy 54% ABV.

Nose Fragrant incense leaps from the glass, with dark chocolate biscuits and treacle tart.
Palate Warming oak spice leads into notes of golden syrup, chai spices and date.
Finish Honeyed fruit and cinnamon linger on a warming finish.
