The Glenlivet Carmaferg

A single cask bottling of 18 year old Glenlivet single malt, bestowed a name that hints towards the distillery's surrounding area. Evidently, Carmaferg Hill was once a landmark for whisky smugglers. Other people probably had other uses for the hill (hiking, picnics, cheese-rolling, etc.), but whisky smuggling seems like the most exciting of the lot. Only 228 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Fresh orange, chocolate digestives, loads of honey and a light whiff of smoke.

Palate Poached pear and raspberry, yet more honey, walnut and almond.

Finish Melted butter, citrus peel, a hint of cola.
