Wine Cask
A six-year-old unpeated single malt from The Glasgow Distillery Co., double distilled and matured initially for five years in first fill bourbon barrels before a 1 year and 9 month finishing period in Amarone della Valpolicella wine barriques. This three-cask marriage brings together Glasgow Distillery’s fruit-forward spirit with the rich, concentrated influence of dried-grape Italian red wine. Bottled at 53% ABV with an outturn of 1,060 bottles.
Ripe strawberries and cherries dominate, backed by soft toffee, light florals, and a gentle sweetness.
Vanilla, red berry compote, and confectionery sweetness reminiscent of jelly sweets, balanced by subtle oak spice.
Strawberry cream, cocoa, and a touch of earthy spice.
