English Whisky Co. 7 Year Old 2008 (cask B1/490) - Single Cask (Master of Malt)
One of four English single malt whiskies from the English Whisky Company, which we have bottled as part of our Single Cask Series a while back! This one is a seven-year-old distilled in August 2008, matured in bourbon cask B1/490 and bottled in February 2016.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fresh raspberries and blackberry jam, with a little bit of Seville orange marmalade too. Tinned peaches still in the syrup. A subtle vegetal hint of grassy fields. Toasted tea cakes with melted butter.
Palate
Bourbon-y vanilla sweetness, orange sherbet, black pepper, Refreshers (the sweeties). White chocolate creaminess develops, with a little hint of the juicy berries from the nose.
Finish
Brown sugar, vanilla pod and dark chocolate bitterness lasts.
Overall
Buttery, bourbon-y brilliance here from the English Whisky Company!
