Speyside #4 25 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
Top secret Speyside single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, bottled up for its Cinema Series. While we don't know which Speyside distillery this hails from, we do know that it spent a generous 25 years maturing in a bourbon barrel, and it's bursting with rewarding layers of honeyed fruit, vanilla, and rich, oaken spice.
Batch 13 is a release of 403 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Vibrant barley, vanilla pods, green apples, and juicy tropical fruits, with zesty honey nestling beneath.
Palate
Waves of creamy vanilla and cooked apple lead the way, joined by lemon posset and set honey. Peppery spices gather beneath.
Finish
Dense old oak brings a drying finish, with notes of tobacco, pepper, and baking spice.
