It's the second batch of Speyside #3 from that Boutique-y Whisky Company, and once again we see a gaggle of ghosts (we're pretty sure that's the collective noun for ghosts) raising a toast on a somewhat dark evening. The whisky itself is a 6 year old single malt, produced at an undisclosed distillery in the Speyside region - with many distilleries around that area, it might be a bit tough to guess which one it came from, though maybe the label has a clue or two...
Batch 2 is a release of 4,094 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose Very fruity, with nectarines, strawberries and blood oranges, before vanilla and toffee soften plenty of ripe, gristly malt.
Palate Plenty more stone fruits and ripe red apples with notes of barley sugar, toasty cereals and acacia honey in support.
Finish Good length, with delicate peppery spice and malt extract.
