Secret Distillery #1 TBWC

This is a superb single malt whisky from one of Speyside's most famous distilleries, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Whilst we can't tell you which distillery it is from, we can say that it is one known for its independence and for its massively sherried whiskies.

The label is adorned with a comic book-style illustration of a sneaky man breaking through the famous red doors of one of the distillery's warehouses to pinch maturing whisky from a cask!

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, bourbons, blended malts and blends from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.

This is Batch 1 - a release of 486 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Big, creaking oak and sherry on the nose. Hints of soft smoke, black coffee and dates. Very inviting!

Palate Rich palate entry. Notes of peppery oak and ground almond. Hints of pralines, dark chocolate and brandy butter. Very intense sherry notes. Spices develop.

Finish Peppery, nutty finish. Spiced.

Overall A hugely sherried, intense whisky - delicious.

*cough*
Be interesting to try another cask strength Glenfarclas, if it's anything near the quality of the 105 ;-)
