Islay Blended Malt #2 27 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
This Boutique-y whisky was created using single malts from the famous whisky island of Islay in the Inner Hebrides. It's made up of 55% Bowmore, 40% Laphroaig, 5% Caol Ila and carries an age statement that tells us that the youngest component is at least 27 years old! Appropriately, the label therefore features some late 1980s graffiti. What do the acronyms mean. though? FTW is presumably '...For The Win' (as opposed to a disregard for this planet or existence), whilst FWP will be a reference to some of the more perfumed floral notes found in late '80s Bowmores...
This is a release of 88 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Fruity and perfumed with heady orchard fruit, especially apples and pears, and light cinnamon.
Palate
Soft, torn stone fruits, more apple, almond blossom, a hint of lilac and bison grass.
Finish
Clean, satisfying and moreish.
Overall
Fragrant Bowmore and fruity Laphroaig combine beautifully.
