That Boutique-y Whisky Company has rustled up another stunning Islay single malt here, and it spent a generous 29 years maturing before it was bottled. The Boutique-y folks treated a portion of the whisky to a finish in oloroso sherry octaves before bottling, and wait a minute... we're sure we've seen that label before on another Boutique-y release, from a named Islay distillery? Surely a clue for the keen-eyed out there.
Batch 6 is a release of 513 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Dried, salted mango and tropical notes of pineapple balance oily old oak, a touch of cedar, and charred garden herbs.
Generous layers of oily malt, zesty citrus peels, and warming root ginger balance smoky notes of charcoal, fragrant, woody spice, and a smidge of menthol.
Lingering notes of barbecue smoke, sea breeze, and coastal peat.
