That Boutique-y Whisky Company sure does love a mystery, and few bottles are as mysterious than the seventh batch of its Islay #2 single malt Scotch whisky, presented in a question mark-adorned 37.5cl bottle. Matured for a quarter of a century(!), the bottler is keeping its lips sealed regarding where it was distilled – but does it really matter when it's this delicious? As the label states: Tropical fruitsses. So smoke. Is menthol? Wow!
Batch 7 is a release of 4,879 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Oaky vanilla, crème brulée, and burnt oat crumble.
Wafts of aromatic smoke, bonfire ash, toasted baking spices, and singed fresh thyme.
Woody smoke and more spices linger.
