The first blended Scotch whisky from That Boutique-y Whisky Company is here! As with the other Boutique-y releases, it's got a graphic-novel-style label, this one featuring a large, polished chrome sphere. Just like how great athletes visualise themselves holding a gold medal or trophy shaped like a football shoe, when a blend is on the cards for the Boutique-y chaps, this is what they visualise - creating something smooth, round and free of spiky bits. This method seems to work, as they've put together an awesome, well-rounded blended Scotch whisky.
A release of 148 numbered bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Sherried spice, creamy vanilla, rich tobacco leaf and a little hint of oak. Complex, and it all compliments each other excellently.
Dark spices with touches of clove and ginger. Dried fruits develop throughout and become juicier. Brazil nuts and oak further on.
Rich, satisfying, well spiced and very long.
A top quality, finely balanced blend from the Boutique-y bunch. The visualising seems to have really worked out great.
