That Boutique-y Whisky Company has been in the indie bottling business for over a decade, bringing us spectacular single-cask, small-batch, limited-edition whiskies. Now it has a growing core range of utterly delicious whiskies, all in 700ml bottles, and all with a different member of the cervidae (deer) family on the label!
For this label, the North American Bison stars. The label for an American whiskey couldn't really feature anything else than the largest land mammal in North America, could it? This 10-year-old Straight Bourbon Whiskey was distilled from a classic corn-forward mash bill (77% corn) and aged in deeply charred American oak barrels. It's rather lovely and superb value for an American whiskey of this age and quality.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends, all adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels. The brand won Spirits Bottler of the Year at the 2023 Spirits Business Awards, and Blender of the Year went to Sam Simmons, captain of the Boutique-y clan who oversees every one of these releases.
