Description

This Irish single malt whiskey spent five years maturing, beginning in bourbon casks before enjoying a finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Bottled without added colour or chill filtration, that splendid hue is all thanks to that rich, dark PX oak, and you can expect generous layers of baking spices and juicy stone fruits alongside the creamy, biscuity malt at its core.

Nose

Fig rolls and treacle toffee join plump raisins and spiced stone fruits.

Palate

Rich layers of baking spice, with juicy plums and sultanas, candied walnuts, cinnamon snaps, and oak char.

Finish

Creamy malt, fragrant oak, apple chips, fruit cake spice, and a warming touch of nutmeg.

Wow, what a great new whiskey. Bought this as a gift, when opened, everyone wanted to try it. A big sherry bomb and perfect post dinner. Gone far too quickly! Very impressed
