A fascinating single malt from the Teaninich distillery here, one that was finished in a cask that previously contained rye whisky. The single cask Scotch whisky was distilled back in 2008 and matured for a total of 14 years before it was bottled at 55.6% ABV by Alistair Walker for the Infrequent Flyers range.
Nose Grassy with honeyed sweetness, tropical fruit, and rich spice.
Palate Earthy vanilla, lemon peel, malty biscuit, toffee popcorn, nutmeg, and a hint of menthol.
Finish Spicy and malty.
