Description
A fab indie bottling of Tamnavulin single malt, released as part of the Connoisseurs Choice series by Gordon & MacPhail. Distilled in 2007, this expression spent its time in a single refill bourbon barrel – 14 whole years of time. The cask was then opened in November 2021, releasing a total outturn of 214 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Buttery malt, sweet dried fruit with a whiff of ginger, and floral grist.
Palate
More floral notes with hints of grapes and green apple leading to heavier, stewed fruits and spiced honey.
Finish
Drying malt with plenty of spice, toffee popcorn, underlying notes of green herbs and pepper.
