Have you ever had a whisky aged in casks that had their char layers polished away by rocks and water? This eight-year-old expression of Talisker single malt, bottled for the Diageo Special Releases 2024, was finished in stone-spun and lightly re-toasted casks. Intriguing stuff, presented at 58.7% ABV.

Beautiful

Sparkle on the nose and palate. Depth. Enjoyable. Had a free sample from MoM - seriously thinking about a bottle, though it’s at the (far) end of my single bottle budget.
