Talisker 45 Year Old - Glacial Edge Whisky 70cl

At 45 years old, this is the oldest ever release from Talisker. But that’s not the only unusual thing about this whisky. Dubbed 'Glacial Edge', it’s the final part in the Talisker Xpedition Oak Series. As with the other releases in this series, the distillery has partnered with Parley, an environmental organisation. This involved taking some heavily charred American oak casks to the Artic and exposing them to four days of extremely cold weather which apparently affected how the whisky which was then finished in these frost-bitten casks reacted with the wood.
