From Speyside's Strathmill Distillery comes this 11 year old single malt, independently bottled by Duncan Taylor. Matured between 2010 and 2022, the whisky was transferred to an octave cask for the final six months, before being bottled up for Duncan Taylor's appropriately named The Octave series. A release of 73 bottles.
Gooey flapjacks with roasted nuts and sweet honey. Floral notes of grassy malt and toasted oak.
Vanilla fudge, a nutty touch of maple followed by cooked apple, and a touch of mint chocolate.
Yet more oaken vanilla and herbal barley, with honeyed apricot balancing soft baking spice.
