An 11 year old single malt here from the sublime Strathmill Distillery, which has been independently bottled up by Signatory. The whisky itself was distilled back in July 2009, and left to age in a pair of first use hogsheads for 11 years. Following that, Signatory came and bottled it up in November 2020 at 46% ABV.
Richly honeyed, with hints of sawdust and waffles topped with maple syrup in the background.
Lemon zest, spicy cedar, nutty brown bread, star anise, pear skin.
Crunchy brown sugar, blackberry leaf, and a hint of maraschino.
