Strathisla 10 Chieftain's Bottling Note

An indie bottling of Strathisla, which was distilled in November 2008 at the distillery in Speyside. The single malt spent the next decade maturing in a pair of bourbon barrels, until it was bottled in May 2019 at the age of 10 years old by Ian MacLeod for the Chieftain's series. 1,004 bottles were released at 43% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Crunchy gingerbread, lemon shortbread, chocolate marble cake and grassy, floral notes.

Palate: Buttery gingersnap biscuits, with Lotus biscuits, spiced fruitcake and marshmallows on the bonfire.

Finish: Very orange-y milk chocolate.
