Superb single malt from the Scottish Highlands, bottled under the Strathdearn name – which might help the whisky sleuths among you figure out its precise origin. Distilled in October 2015, the whisky spent seven years resting in a barrique, yielding a total of 324 bottles to join our exclusive Master of Malt collection when it was opened in 2023.

Rich and sweet, with notes of meaty malt and redcurrants backed by cinder toffee, crème caramel, and buttered oatcakes with honey.
Robust roasted malt and toasted oak, balsamic poached fruits, and sweet, layers of apple and blackberry crumble. Vinous, tannic notes of redcurrants and raisins rest beneath.
Juicy red fruits linger beside bold oak, burnt toffee, and a touch of savoury, woody spice.
I was a bit sceptical when I saw this one.. but boy o boy how wrong was I! This is an absolute bargain at £44.95 I have bought 3 and have enjoyed every drop.. The mildest burn and I do mean mildest.. but what a whiskey thank you Master of malt for this beauty..
45 quid for this bottle. What a bargain. Really nice whiskey. Strong, nice on the nose. good kick to it aswell. Really enjoyed this whiskey I bought as a sampler. Just gona buy a bottle of it now
Rich and complex, great mouthfeel. Remarkably viscous. Serious delivery, intense flavors. The finish is good, but fades quicker than you wish. This whisky goes to show the high level of casks and management at Master of Malt, something they prove over and over in my experience. As an independent bottler I believe they are up there with the best, maybe my favorite when it comes to consistently delivering value.
If you think you are buying a reasonable Whisky, you'll be shocked by what you will get. I bought this and poured a dram, took a sip, then stared at the bottle. I have been drinking whisky for a long time. I found it hard to believe this whisky is only 7 years old. It is well balanced and flavoursome. If the label said 27 years I would have been still happy, but less money in my wallet ?. Wow what a lovely whisky.
Really impressed with this. Sweet and spicy with a nice, thick mouth warming feel. Very good.
